Teen Group - “The Difficult Years"
Many adolescents today are getting into trouble.  After all, there are many pressures for kids to deal with including friends, peer pressure, family tensions and school requirements.  Sometimes all these demands result in behavioral and attitude problems. The goal of this program is to achieve a positive and lasting change. Our goal is to assist youth and their families in understanding the issues influencing their problems and to come up with workable solutions.
 
WHEN TO SEEK HELP - Look for patterns of behaviors rather than a single incident.
Ø       Academic problems
Ø       Disrespectful, obnoxious and/or defiant behaviors
Ø       Fights at school
Ø       A feeling that something serious is happening
Ø       Questionable friends or lack of friends
Ø       Tensions in the home
Ø       Problems with the law
Ø       Depression, anxiety or anger issues         
Ø       Drug or alcohol ingestion
Ø       Kids can’t explain their troubling behaviors
Ø       Teachers and caregivers express concern 
Ø       Learning and/or attention disorders (Diagnosis of ADD or ODD)
Ø       Volatile temperament
Ø       Family problems (such as depression, substance abuse, marital strife)

FEES:
Ø       Group (75 minutes): $45.00
Ø       Half-day intensive sessions are available when needed 
Ø       Credit cards, checks or cash accepted
Ø       Fee for Service (to be paid when services are rendered)
Ø       Private Sessions: $140 for one hour; $200 for 90 minutes
Ø      Insurance billing: A “Superbill” form is provided. You submit this form to your insurance for direct reimbursement if applicable. I am considered an “out of network” licensed MFT practitioner.
